The distribution of gear honing speed on the contact-line was varied,so the quality of gear tooth profile surface was in the great differences,and the performance of workpiece would be reduced. In order to improve the quality of workpiece,a vector expression of cutting speed on the contact-points was obtained by the coordinate transformation herein.The relationship between the quality of workpiece profile and cutting speed had been obtained by way of the experiments. It is showed that the surface roughness value of same tooth has further increscent differences with the increasing honing speed, and the surface quality of tooth is in the same trend.
